SR- SHIPPING AND RECEIVING

Key responsibilities:

Unload materials from incoming trucks and ensure they are properly checked in.

Inspect and verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders, invoices and packing slips.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of all shipments received, reporting any discrepancies tto the Receiving Manager.

Properly store materials in designated areas, ensuring safe and efficient inventory management

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving area.

Frequently lift materials of up to 25 lbs. and, when necessary, assist in lifting heavier items (up to 100 lbs.

Ensure that materials are properly handled to prevent damage during unloading and inspection

Assist with inventory counts and audits as required.

Communicate effectively with other departments, including purchasing and warehouse, to resolve any issues with incoming shipments.

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment as needed (with training or certification, if applicable)

QUALFICATIONS:

Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving environment preferred. Not necessary

Ability to frequently lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance.

Basic understanding of inventory and warehouse operations

Attention to detail and ability to perform thorough inspections

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Forklift: willingness to obtain certification.
