Salary Range: $70k-90k/year plus bonus depending on experience

Role Summary

The Retail Store Manager will be the operational leader for Charleston Rings’ brick-and-mortar showroom and Shopify e-commerce channel. This role requires a hands-on retail professional who ensures world-class in-store customer experiences, drives profitable online performance, and collaborates with backend teams to streamline fulfillment and systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Showroom Operations (70%)

Team Leadership: Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor Expert Guides; create schedules, manage performance reviews, run daily standups, and maintain team morale.

Customer Experience: Resolve escalations; ensure each guest receives personalized guidance aligned with our values, and conduct customer experience audits.

Merchandising & Inventory: Develop and execute merchandising plans; maintain optimal stock levels; target ≥4 inventory turns/year; run monthly inventory audits and forecast reorder points.

Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control standards

Platform Optimization: Work with operations manager to maintain backend integrations (CRM, 3PL, payment gateways).

2. Vendor & Marketing Coordination (20%)

Supplier Relations and Inventory Management: Negotiate contracts and pricing with diamond suppliers and designers; manage lead times and manage and analyze sales as well as inventory levels.

Local Outreach: Develop and execute community marketing: in-store events, influencer partnerships, referral programs, and PR initiatives to drive showroom foot traffic.

Budget Management: Oversee marketing spend for local campaigns; report ROI and adjust strategies accordingly.

Campaign Execution: Coordinate with marketing assistant on creative assets; schedule and oversee all online promotions; ensure accuracy of site content, pricing, and inventory listings.

3. Reporting & Continuous Improvement (10%)

Scorecard Delivery: Prepare a concise weekly dashboard for owner covering sales (store & online), conversion metrics, inventory turns, appointments booked, and Google rating.

Process Kaizen: Identify operational bottlenecks; lead cross-functional improvement sprints; document updates to SOPs and train the team on changes.

Shopify Performance: Own e-commerce P&L; track conversion rate (target ≥0.5%), appointment-booking rate (≥1% of site visits), average order value (AOV), and cart abandonment.

SOP Development and Implementation: Partner with operations manager to update and maintain SOPs.

Required Qualifications

5+ years in luxury retail or DTC e-commerce leadership with cross-channel P&L responsibility

Demonstrated ability to manage both in-store and online teams, including performance metrics and coaching

Strong analytical skills: comfortable with Shopify analytics, Google Analytics, and basic financial reporting

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; proven culture-builder aligned with our values

Proficient in inventory management systems, CRM, and retail POS platforms

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $70,000–$90,000 DOE

Bonus: Up to 20% of base tied to hitting scorecard metrics
