Full-time As a Drain Technician, you play a key role in diagnosing and resolving residential drain and sewer issues. This position focuses on clearing clogged drains, performing camera inspections when needed, identifying underlying problems, and recommending appropriate repair or replacement solutions. This is a customer-facing, commission-based role ideal for technicians who are confident in their skills and motivated by performance-based earnings.

Your Role

  • Diagnose and clear residential and commercial drain and sewer line blockages.

  • Operate drain cleaning equipment, including cables, jetters, and cameras.

  • Perform camera inspections to identify underlying drain or sewer issues.

  • Clearly explain findings and solutions to customers in their homes.

  • Recommend drain repairs, sewer repairs, or full sewer line replacement when necessary.

  • Provide honest, solution-based options.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service.

  • Maintain accurate job documentation, photos, and videos.

  • DUTIES: Clear clogged drains, sewers, and mainlines in residential settings.

  • Identify root intrusion, grease buildup, scale, breaks, offsets, or collapsed pipe.

  • Use camera equipment to verify proper drain function and diagnose problems.

  • Communicate findings in a professional, customer-friendly manner.

  • Educate customers on long-term drain and sewer solutions.

  • Support the sales process by identifying repair and replacement opportunities.

  • Maintain and care for drain cleaning and camera equipment.

  • Document job details and upload to ServiceTitan.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Drain Technician or in drain/sewer services preferred.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to succeed in a commission-based role.

  • Valid state driver's license with clean driving record.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn company software.
